What we collect on the hackathon and SEAL platforms, why we collect it, and how to have it removed.
Visualsim.com collects only the information required to operate the hackathon and the SEAL learning platform:
Account data verifies who registered and lets us contact you about the event or your classes. Learning activity produces the progress reports and grades your professor reviews. License data ties a license file to your machine; without it the tool cannot be licensed to you. We do not sell personal data, we do not run third-party advertising trackers, and we share data only with Mirabilis Design Inc staff and, for learning records, with the teaching institution that enrolled you.
Accounts created through the shared sign-on with mirabilisdesign.com are synced by username and approval status only; no password is ever transferred between the two sites.
Hackathon accounts are retained until one year after the final event so results and certificates remain verifiable. SEAL accounts remain active while your class runs and for the term expiry shown on your profile. You may request a copy of your data, correction of inaccuracies, or full deletion at any time by writing to the program administrator at globalhackathon2026v2@mirabilisdesign.com. Deletion removes your account, learning records, and license requests; anonymized aggregate statistics may be retained. Grading records your university requires may be retained as long as the academic program needs them.
All traffic is served over HTTPS. Administrative consoles require separate credentials from student accounts. Database credentials live only on the server, never in source control. If you believe you found a security issue, please report it to team@mirabilisdesign.com rather than testing it further.
